The New York City Festival features 15 categories of nominations. Check out the descriptions below and nominate your choices today!

We?re looking for the most innovative, compelling, and original examples of web sites in the following categories:

1.Application - Most innovative stand-alone application developed in Flash MX.

2.Art - Personal, non-commercial work that showcases an individual's artistic vision.

3.Cartoon - Hand-drawn characters that are animated and may include voice and/or music.

4.Commerce - Commerce solution that works effectively and provides a compelling user experience, or is a site developed to promote or market a business or product.

5.Educational - Presentations created in Flash that are informational, instructional or educational.

6.Experimental - Sites that break the rules and push originality and innovation.

7.Game - Game or simulator that involves user input and interactivity. Game will be judged on originality, technical merit and design.

8.Motion Graphics - Uses graphic artwork in motion. While cartoons are drawn frame by frame, motion graphics involves moving objects through Motion Tweening, Shape Tweening, or ActionScripting.

9.Navigation - Sites nominated in this category must rank high in usability and originality. Designs must be functional and easily understood. версия для печати

10.Original Sound - Contains original sound (no MP3s of your favorite recorded songs) or uses sound in a compelling and interactive way.

11.Story - Uses Flash for narrative purpose. May be a documentary, drama, satire, comedy, etc.

12.Technical Merit - A site on the frontier of technological excellence. May contain custom ActionScript, database interaction, or integration with the Flash Communication Server technology or Flash Remoting. .

13.3D - Includes 3D graphics from another application (Swift3D, Amorphium Pro, Vecta3D, Studio Max, etc.) and creatively integrates that 3D design into a Flash presentation.

14.Typography - Best use of typography design in interface, content and/or the creation of animation.

15.Video - Most compelling incorporation of video using Flash MX.
